Good morning y'all

Not so bright this morning but still we've had it good lately so can't complain and I do think it will be nice this afternoon.

I'm invited to celebrate one of my clients 100th birthday this afternoon with her and her loved ones. I'm really looking forward to it. I made some cakes last night to take with me. Some old fashioned style cakes. A bakewell tart and an apple pie, recipe from Mrs Beaton's Cookbook. She is a game old bird and has a wicked sense of humour so I'm expecting laughs galore.

Friday Seams

Good Morning y'all. Friday at last eh? Has been rather a busy week for me so I intend to have a relaxing weekend. I'm going out tonight for a curry with my boys. That's one thing we do very well in Glasgow, curries. I have yet to try a better curry anywhere else in the U.K. Then Saturday night I'm going into town to meet my lover and again I'll be eating. So that is 2 nights won't be near my kitchen. Must see if I can persuade someone to take me out to Sunday lunch and make it a hat trick. :)

Good Morning

think I'm going to have to invest in blackout blinds. I'm programmed it seems to awake at first light and that is way too early now and of course that will only get worse. Any salesmen out there that would give me a good price? Hee hee.

Today I'm managing to get out of the office, one of our chaps is off with a broken ankle so I quickly volunteered to cover his home appointments. Sneaky eh? Not only do I get kudos for being helpful but I get myself out of the office for a while this afternoon. Whayhay!!

A sailors life

is the life for me.....Spring means sailors outfits and as I'm such a fashion victim I put together my own version :) Actually I couldn't care a toss about fashion, it's for people with no personal style sense and if you haven't sussed it out by my age then it's way too late to ever develop it.

As I cleared my appointment book to allow for jury service I will be pretty much desk bound all week, though today's dull weather says that's not such a bad thing.

What a lovely morning, the sun is shining and it doesn't even feel cold out. it's nice to choose some lighter wear for work for a nice change.

Did y'all have a good weekend? Mines wasn't so great. Pretty mediocre to be honest. Still I know some weekends just seem to go like that.

I was called for jury duty this week but didn't have to go today. I've to just keep phoning every evening after 6pm. What a nuisance.

What a glorious morning, Sun shining and the world all clean and fresh looking. A nice change for a Friday. Surely spring is here proper now. Could do with dropping all the winter wear and getting into some lighter clothing.

I have a real busy day ahead of me, we have a new CEO starting and she is coming in today to meet with us all before her first real day on Monday. Her resumé promises us a real go getter so I'm looking forward to working with her. Will also be a nice change to have a woman at the helm.

Play Misty For Me

I love Clint Eastwood but that film was pretty bad. Anyway when I saw this mornings mist it put me in mind of the song and film. Funny how the old head works sometimes eh? :) It's a very strange light that come with mist, making the world seem slightly surreal. No wonder fog and mist is used to create atmosphere in horror flicks.

I had a friend up for dinner last night and she stayed over so I'm going to have company on the walk to work this morning. She works at my place but in a different department, she is one of those clever finance bods.

I'm out and about today so I'm dressed pretty warmly to accommodate the chill that comes with mist. I'm wearing black & red matching bra & panties, black opaque hold ups with deep red lace welts, black v-necked wool top, red & black tweed skirt and high heel black boots. Couldn't do my hallway walk this morning, no real privacy. Still I'm sure y'all won't be too disappointed as the upskirt was still included.

Beware the ides of March

Well if you're Julius Caesar that is. I always think of this on the 15th, brainwashed with Shakespeare in school eh? Though it is a legitimate date in the Roman calendar. It is supposed to signify a full moon but I think the dates have been slightly skewed down the years.

Today I have an early finish, I have some flexi to take from last month otherwise I'll lose it so I'm having a half day today. Going to go into town to do some shopping. School trousers for my son and some stockings for me. Of course it just has to be chucking it down. Still I'll dress for it.

Monday Again

Where does the weekend fly to? Pity the working week doesn't go so quickly. Still shouldn't complain at least I'm working. There is talk of redundancies in my place. This is the knock on effect of the Govt. cutting budgets to public services. So I may well not have anything to complain about soon.

14 straps anyone?

Hooray it's Friday and y'all know what that means right? Seams! I love my seams actually and I wish they weren't so fragile or so expensive otherwise I would wear them daily. However a wee Friday treat is no bad thing and it gives me something to look forward to.

March Winds

Wow they got that right didn't they? It's very blowy out this morning. I'll be blown about like an empty tracksuit while out and about this morning. Won't be able to use an umbrella and a hat is going to be a poor substitute, assuming I can keep it from blowing away.

Good Morning

Y'all, The sun is trying to break through those clouds, not that I'm bothered as I wont be out today at all. Yesterday while out and about I was pleasantly surprised by all the flowers that have come out. Crocus, Snowdrops, Daffodils, Amaryllis even the heather is sporting its bright colours. What an encouraging sight they are when its still very cold and wet.

The Trouble With Stockings

is sometimes you just don't notice ladders or snags and go right ahead and launder them. Grrrr! Another pair bites the dust. I'm very eco minded though and use them in various cleaning chores and even to strain coulis.

Running Late

This morning. I was up and did my video bright and early as usual but the net has been playing funny buggers with me this morning and not loading the pages I wanted. Morning y'all. Wow another lovely morning we sure are being spoiled up here in the frozen north. It is very cold and there was frost around earlier but hey who cares when the sun is shining.

Today it's my turn with the auditor. Was busy yesterday pulling together all they had requested from me so most of this morning will be spent going over it all with them. Which means my real work has to be put on hold.

Good Morning Stockings lovers

Another lovely bright morning for my walk to work. I always enjoy the walk to work but it's especially nice when it's bright like this as everyone I meet seems so much more cheerful and friendly as a result.

We have the auditors in this week and what with all the cuts in government spending it seems like our funding is about to be cut radically. Come April I may be looking for another job. Oh well in the meantime I have to get all my paperwork and accounts sorted and presented. So this week, despite the nice weather,I'm going to be stuck in the office. Boo!
