Whoohoo today my daughter comes home and I'm so excited. I haven't seen her in a couple of months. Ach we skype constantly but it's not the same. It's going to be a long morning in work waiting for clocking off time. She arrives just after two at Glasgow Airport. Which is just a hop, skip and a jump from my home.

Good Morning

Boo! What a miserable wet day it is. Just typical when it's a day I'm going to be out and about. Oh well raincoat and brolly time. Still I suppose we can't really complain because this time last year we were ankle deep in snow and if it's raining it wont snow. Silver linings and all that.

My friends dog died last night and I was on phone with her till all hours of the morning so I'm feeling a little tired and grumpy this morning. Perfect conditions for putting the hard word on non paying clients. Might as well use my mood to advantage eh? Get my targets met before my next performance review :)

That Friday Feeling

thank goodness it is the weekend, it has been one of those long weeks and I'll be glad to kick back and enjoy my weekend. I'm also glad I only work a half day on Fridays. Morning Y'all

another lovely morning, I'll enjoy the walk to work. I do love autumnal mornings like this. The silvery light makes everywhere look wonderful. I also love the colours of the trees at this time of year. So beautiful.

Today I'm in training on our new super fast computer system till lunch-time then I'm clearing my desk in preparation for next weeks holiday. I like to hand over as little work as possible before I go off.

Morning Y'all

Nice bright morning which will make me being out and about much more tolerable. This is my last day out of the office for about 2 weeks so I'm glad I'm getting a decent day for it. I had such a lot to catch up with yesterday after my unexpected days off that I didn't even have time for lunch. I also did a couple of hours on the laptop last night to catch up so today should be pretty much a normal day (fingers crossed).

Good Morning

What a beautiful morning it is,the sun is shining. The sky is as blue as a summers day. Perfect. As you know I'm off today so the weather is being very kind.

I'm off into town shopping this morning with my teenager. He has taken a bit of a stretch and really needs new clothes. Much to his disgust I'm insisting he comes with me to try on things. At the moment he is mumping around the dining room eating breakfast and complaining about needing a wardrobe update. I didn't have this problem with my daughter. She would have been asking for an increase in the budget because she needs sooooo much! Therein lies the difference between teenage girls and boys Had to bribe the 'midden' with the promise of a football shirt as reward.

As I'm not at work today I'm giving you the video of me getting dressed to go out on Saturday night. We went to a fabby Japanese restaurant on the Clydeside. Yen in the rotunda. The rotunda is an old building which used to house the workings of the ferry that crossed the Clyde many a year ago.

Friday on my mind

I just love Friday. Not just because it is the end of my working week, not just because I get to wear my beloved seams. Nor because I generally socialise on a Friday, or the fact I finish at 1pm. All contributing factors of course but no I really love it because my youngest has breakfast at the table with me and forgets to be a surly misunderstood teenager and goes back to being my little sweetheart chattering away about his week. Ah simple pleasures.

Very dull outside I hope that doesn't mean more rain as I will be out of the office all morning. Oh well I will wear my raincoat and pop a hat into my bag.

Off to the football tonight so my youngest is meeting me at work and we'll go for a pizza first. I'm so happy the season has started again, it's been a long break with no euro or world football to keep me going. A little women's footy at the end of last season but let's face it that in no way compensates as it is pretty rubbish.

Back to School

In Glasgow all the kids return to school so the roads go back to being choc-a-bloc. I'm so glad I walk to work. My youngest has just left all mumpy and moany about school being boring and how the holidays aren't long enough etc, etc. Ah tis a hard life being 13!

The sun is shining so I'm dressing today in the faint hope it will stay like that especially as I will be out and about for most of the day. I love getting out of the office and meeting with people. It's why I stick with a job that doesn't pay well.

Morning Y'all

I have been up with the lark this morning, I like the mornings anyway but waking up at 5.30 is just a little too early. That's holidays for you, they tend to knock you off your stride. At least I managed to get all my holiday washing ironed and put away so at least I used the time productively. When I grow up I'm going to get someone in to do my laundry.

I'm so busy at work I wonder sometimes why I bother doing a hand over before going off. Such a lot to catch up with. oh well such is life...so on with the show.

Morning Blog Fans

Wow what a windy day it was yesterday, I was coming home at the same time as the kids from school and I was watching them have heaps of fun being blown along the road. 1 little boy about 6 or 7 had his jacket opened like a cape and was trying to fly. It's a shame we lose that sense of fun when we get older eh? All I could think of was there may be damage to our stock to deal with in the morning and here were these kids having an absolute ball.
