Autumn Already?

My sunflowers haven't even flowered yet and the tree outside my house is changing colour. It's scary how quickly it has cooled down, feels like only yesterday we were thinking about digging out the summer clothes.

Good Morning Stocking Fans

Very dull this morning. It makes it harder to get motivated when it is s dark and dingy outside. Definitely a day for wearing a raincoat and toting an umbrella. Especially as I will be commuting into town today.

Another Monday to plough our way through. At least I'll not be at my desk today as I'm on a training course for the next 4 days. I'm off Friday, using up last months flexi-time otherwise I'll lose it.

Guess What?

I'm wearing seams today :) We all like seams right? The ones I'm wearing today are the last pair from a box I bought at auction last year. I did a little research and these ones were sold at the end of the 50's and well into the 60's so they really are vintage.

Good Morning

I'm off out tonight with one of my colleagues who is retiring at the end of the month. I can't go to her official retirement party so I'm taking her out for a posh meal. We are off to 'The Grill' at 29. she loves steak and apparently this place is the best. I hope they don't mind me paying in the pennies I have robbed from the piggy bank. Good Morning Stocking Fans

Grey skies on a Monday perfectly suits that Monday morning feeling eh? Still very warm though and I had trouble sleeping last night because of it. I know in Scotland we would have little use for air conditioning but I would have handed over my full stockings collection last night for the use of one.

Oh dear starting Monday off with a moan, not good at all. I have a busy day ahead of me well a busy week really. I need to get as up to date as possible as next week I'm away 4 days on a training course and would prefer not to have to return to a backlog. So it'll be head down all week and maybe even some work at home.

Friday at last

Long busy week and I'm so glad it is drawing to an end. Always the same when you return from holiday eh? Hopefully next week will be business as usual as I think I have pretty much caught up.

I'm off to meet a friend after work, it is her birthday so we are going for a nice afternoon tea with champagne, my treat of course so I've robbed the piggy bank. I had to M'lud spent all my disposable income on holiday last week :)

Very dull outside I hope that doesn't mean more rain as I will be out of the office all morning. Oh well I will wear my raincoat and pop a hat into my bag.

Off to the football tonight so my youngest is meeting me at work and we'll go for a pizza first. I'm so happy the season has started again, it's been a long break with no euro or world football to keep me going. Back to School

In Glasgow all the kids return to school so the roads go back to being choc-a-bloc. I'm so glad I walk to work. My youngest has just left all mumpy and moany about school being boring and how the holidays aren't long enough etc, etc. Ah tis a hard life being 13!

The sun is shining so I'm dressing today in the faint hope it will stay like that especially as I will be out and about for most of the day. I love getting out of the office and meeting with people. It's why I stick with a job that doesn't pay well.

Morning Y'all

I have been up with the lark this morning, I like the mornings anyway but waking up at 5.30 is just a little too early. That's holidays for you, they tend to knock you off your stride. At least I managed to get all my holiday washing ironed and put away so at least I used the time productively. When I grow up I'm going to get someone in to do my laundry.

I'm so busy at work I wonder sometimes why I bother doing a hand over before going off. Such a lot to catch up with. oh well such is life...so on with the show.

Home Again

I had a really lovely time and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with my daughter. She has made a really good life for herself over there and I'm very proud of her. I got to meet her class of little 7 year olds and what a lovely bunch they are. They are so sweet at that age. It was strange to see her at work. My little girly all grown up and teaching primary school.

I didn't get to do any snaps that y'all would like. I was sharing a room with my daughter. My older son had his fiancé with him so they bagged the extra double and the wee yin had the single room. So no privacy to do any filming. In fact looking at the holiday snaps you would think I wasn't even there. Mums always end up behind the lens eh?

Rainy days

To be honest I'm quite happy to have a little rain it was becoming unbearably humid. it is still very warm though.

I'm not due into work this morning till 11 o'clock. I'm having to use up last months flexi time or lose it. So I have had a nice leisurely breakfast and a bath instead of a shower. Now I don't want t go in. :) Ah well one must to keep the wolf from the door.

I'm off out to a union meeting this evening. Redundancies seem to be the order of the day. I had a feeling it would go this way once our funding was cut so drastically. Oh well no point in borrowing worries I'll just have to be patient and see what transpires.
