Doesn't the weekend just fly by? Still I did have a nice weekend. Reasonably well rested for the week ahead which, if my diary is anything to go by, is going to be a very busy one. Still to be honest when one is busy the week flies by.

Today I'm out and about so I'm hoping the rain stays off. Though the forecast isn't too promising. I'll go prepared with mac & brolly.

Morning Y'all

Well only a few more sleeps till the big day, which for me is actually Friday when I go collect my daughter from the airport. I'm so looking forward to spending some quality family time with her and my two boys.

Today as you know is my pensioners Christmas party so I'm dressed in a party outfit. I'm wearing black body suit, black suspender belt, navy seams, black full slip, aubergine dress and purple shoes.

My Goodness

What a crazy storm filled morning it is. Definitely time for big boots eh? I'm certainly dressed today with the weather in mind. Thank goodness I'm in the office all day, I would need lead in my boots to stop me blowing away.

That Friday Feeling

Doesn't the thought that it's the last working day add a little smile to your face? It always cheers me no end knowing I have the whole weekend looming in front of me, especially when I know it is going to be full of fun and frolics.

I have a pretty easy day ahead of me. Well I do plan my week carefully so that I can skive on a Friday. A few flourishes to add to a committee report and that is that. Writing reports for them is an exercise in creative writing. Not that I tell lies but it has to be written with as little use of jargon as possible and it has to catch their interest. Not easy but challenging in an enjoyable way.

Morning Y'all

It is very dark and wet this morning, for two pins I could have slipped back under the duvet. Still that wouldn't keep the wolf from the door.

The kids here in Glasgow are off school this week for the autumn mid term break. Makes it very quiet out. I live beside a primary school and on the path to a secondary school so generally at this time of the morning there is lots of noise. It's also hard being the only one in the house who is up and getting ready to go about the business of the day.

Friday at last

Long busy week and I'm so glad it is drawing to an end. Always the same when you return from holiday eh? Hopefully next week will be business as usual as I think I have pretty much caught up.

I'm off to meet a friend after work, it is her birthday so we are going for a nice afternoon tea with champagne, my treat of course so I've robbed the piggy bank. I had to M'lud spent all my disposable income on holiday last week :)

techno Dinosaur

That's me. I'm having trouble using the new version of movie maker which is on my new laptop. I've had endless trouble this morning trying to upload today's video. So much so I have given up and in true Blue Peter style I'm uploading one I did earlier. I'm going to have to spend some time messing around with this new lappy and get a feel for it.

This is a video I took last week getting ready to go out for the evening. I was going out for an early meal and then out to meet some friends in a pub in town. I don't generally do evening videos as you know so doing this one and having it ready for use this morning is a bonus.

Good Morning

Blog fans, isn't it another glorious morning? How nice to rise to the sun streaming through ones bedroom window. I'm pretty much stuck in the office all day today too. :(

I have had a wonderful weekend made all the better by the arrival of my daughter home from Spain for a well earned break. I miss her so much when she is away. She has a wonderful life as a primary school teacher over there and loves her little charges so much. It was fun catching up with all the gossip and watching all her videos of her class being enthusiastic over the end of term school production. She had them all dancing to a Prodigy track :)

Today I am wearing a taupe long-line bra and matching panties, Jasper Conran hold ups with deep lace welts and a pretty little bow on one, Chocolate brow dress, leopard print court shoes and gold 'waterfall' cardigan.

Good Morning stockings Fans

Where does the weekend go? It was busy one for me. Not just socially but around the house too, I was sorting out my planters in the patio as the seeds and bulbs I put in are all starting to come up. So I needed to get them sorted out and into the sunshine. I'm also planning on painting my kitchen so I've been organising that too.

Today I'm office bound all morning but I do have a few excuse to get out and about this afternoon so I'm hoping the clouds burn off and it's a nice afternoon.

Good Morning

Well I'm back and all rested and ready to return to work. The weather was wonderful when I was off and I managed to get out with my youngster. We had a really good time and lucky him has the rest of the week off. I'm happy enough with the time he spent with me but I think he is glad to have me out of his hair so he can do his on thing. teenagers eh?

Monday

Good Morning, Isn't Monday just one of those days that no-one really looks forward to? Especially when one is having a good weekend. I spent most of the weekend with family and that always pleases me no end. I have 17 niece and nephews and there always seems to be a birthday party on the go where we can all get together and have a laugh.

Today I'm out and about and wouldn't you just know that the heavens would empty today. I do have a lovely new raincoat so 'silver linings' and all that jazz.

Misty Mornings

Looks very cold outside this morning. We've been little spoiled this week with the milder weather but we knew that wasn't going to last. Though I'd expected torrential rain as opposed to a cold, misty morning. It'll give me a chance to wear my nice new brown tweed coat.

Today I'm out and about in the morning then bogged down in meetings all afternoon. I'm finishing early as I have a standard health check procedure booked for 4pm. Women have come a long way since my mother died of breast cancer in the late 60's in monitoring our health. I'm on a programme which means 3 yearly mammograms because of my family history.

Still enough of the serious chat and on with the point of this blog. Today I'm wearing peach chiffon bra and French knickers set from La Senza, Brown RHT vintage style stockings in 15d, black six strap suspender belt, brown and turquoise patterned dress and brown suede court shoes.

Hooray for Friday

Well here we are at the weekend once again. Do y'all have lovely plans for relaxing this weekend? I have a busy one ahead. Tonight I'm invited out to tea at a friends house, tomorrow afternoon the football then Saturday night and most of Sunday will be spent re decorating my bathroom now the new tiles are in situ. Just a matter of painting the ceiling and woodwork and laying the flooring. I'm rather handy with a paintbrush but I've never laid flooring before so this will be a challenge for me. Today, as I'm an early finish I'll be heading up to B&Q to fetch the necessaries.

Pink Thursday

Hi Y'all, today in work we are paying £2 and wearing pink to raise funds for breast cancer charities. One of our colleagues is currently recovering from this type of cancer and she is intending to do a fun run to raise awareness and also funds. We thought it would be good to support her so we will be a company awash with pink today. We are also doing a cake and candy stall whereby all the bakers amongst us will bring something in to sell. I've made a batch of rum truffles and some macaroons. I also made a large berry pavlova which will be in a competition 'guess the weight'. It should be quite a fun day even though the intentions are to support such a serious issue.
